How To Move Files Using Boxplorer on Xbox
- Boxplorer is kind of like windows
explorer, think of it as 2 windows side by side.
- Left trigger is window A and right
trigger is window B
- You can toggle back and forth between the windows by pressing the triggers. (Give it a Try)
- What we are doing is moving
something from f:/hddloader to f:/games
- So go to window A (left trigger)
- Press the white button and click on
select drive
- Go to F and click inside HDDloader
- Now do the same with window B but
instead of going to f:/hddloader go to f:/games
- Now you are sitting on 2 windows,
- What we are going to do is move from one to the other, but first lets rename the folder inside HDDloader to something you would recognize
that game with.
- so go back to window A (Left Trigger)
- Select the Game by pressing your Blue (X) button on the
controller over the game you want to rename and transfer. the Blue
button is boxplorers way of "selecting"
- Now hit the white button again and go to rename
- Rename the folder to something
original. (the reason we do this is its called something001 and if
you move it over to f:games, the next game would have the same 001
number which would end up overwriting every time you move, and we
dont want that to happen do we?
- Its a sequencial folder creating only if the previous number is in that directory, thats how HDD laoder works
- Once its renamed what you are going to do is select that folder and go to "move".
- What move does is it moves that folder you selected to window B. Which happens to be inside F:/games
- Its going to security prompt you to
make sure what you are doing is what you want to do
- Then hold both triggers and press
start to approve the move
- you can obviously also do all of this
via FTP
- now you should see the game in your games menu, you can also select more than 1 game at a time to move it after renaming
